About Us

A message from the president Joel Burki:

Greetings and welcome to our B.A.F.A. web site. Many thanks, and acknowledgment of a job very well done, to Josh and Denise for their up-dating of our web site. Joel here, founding member and acting facillitator, am pleased to be a part of this worthwhile adventure.

As an adult learner, I enjoy directed study and exploration of the instrument. The "Forty Sudies..." found at the end of Ryan's Mammoth Collection, published by Melbay, is chocked full of tools for the fiddler without a teacher. We are also deeply thankful to the Largo Public Library for their continued support.

We meet at the New Largo Library (the first hallway on the right when you walk in through the front door, we meet in the last room at the end of the hall) for the first three Sundays of every month, in the afternoon from 2:00-4:00 PM. (2:00 - 2:30 is a beginner's session). 3:15 - 3:30, pot-luck snack break. All are welcome.
